Impact conferences will take place in New York, San Francisco, and online. We're designing them to be smaller than in the past (NYC will be limited to 125 participants), and focused on four benefits:
We know your time is precious. The time you spend at Impact will help you and your team learn from the best, deliver bigger results, spark new partnerships, and grow your network.
In advance of our larger NYC and San Francisco face-to-face conferences, we'll be hosting an online event series throughout January 2022, Impact Reconnected, and several smaller in-person executive forums throughout 2021. Purchasing a ticket to Impact NYC will include access to the online event series, or you can purchase that ticket separately if you're unable to join us in person.
This event is designed for current corporate leaders in innovation, strategy, design, emerging technology, R&D, and new product development roles. Speakers at past Impact gatherings have included senior executives from Google, General Mills, Lyft, IBM, Bose, Converse, Citi, Samsung, Tiffany & Co., Ford, Kellogg's, Walmart, NASA, Harvard Business Review, and more. If you need to deliver tangible impact in your organization in the year ahead, please don’t miss Impact.
In addition to fireside chats, workshops, and case studies, you’ll be invited to participate in pre-event activities and cocktail receptions, as well as breakouts full of opportunities to participate and pose your questions. Impact will also give you the chance to schedule 1-on-1 meetings with other participants, speakers, and sponsors.
Impact New York City takes place May 18 + 19, 2022, with some optional pre-event activities starting on May 17 at 4 PM. Our venue is the Wythe Hotel, a converted factory in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. Tickets below offer full participation in our New York event to current corporate innovation, R&D, strategy, emerging tech, and new product development professionals at all levels (working in for profit, non profit/NGO, and government entities), plus participation in our online Impact conference in January 2022, Impact Reconnected. We reserve the right to refund registrations of individuals who do not fit that profile. A membership bundle includes one year of complete access to Innovation Leader's website, starting immediately, for the purchaser. (Registration for our San Francisco Impact conference is not yet open.)
Impact Reconnected takes place online throughout the month of January 2022, starting January 12th and ending on January 27th. We will be using Zoom as our primary platform for this series of online events. If you'd also like to attend the in-person Impact event in May 2022, please register above; that ticket will include participation in Impact Reconnected. (Impact Reconnected is open to individuals in corporate innovation roles, as well as students, academics, entrepreneurs, and others interested in the latest thinking related to innovation in large organizations.)

Impact is designed expressly for corporate innovation, strategy, emerging tech, and R&D professionals. That’s everyone from Chief Innovation Officers and VPs of Innovation, to Directors of Innovation and R&D Managers. If you’re responsible for new products or services inside your company, you’re probably the right fit. If you're in professional services, advisory, training, or innovation software, please inquire about sponsorship.
We're hosting this year's in-person conferences in Brooklyn and San Francisco, with an online event series in January 2022 (on the Zoom platform) to connect participants who are unable to join us in-person. Tickets to the New York in-person conference will include access to the online event series.
It's an online event series that runs on several dates between January 12 and January 27, 2022 to connect people who are unable to join us in-person — or who will be at an in-person event but want to learn from a totally different group of speakers. Tickets to the in-person conferences include access to the online event series. If you buy a ticket to the online event series, but later decide to join the in-person events, you will receive a registration discount. We are using Zoom as our platform.
We will monitor local policies related to COVID-19 that will apply to each of our in-person Impact gatherings. At our New York Impact gathering, the venue, the Wythe Hotel, requires proof of vaccination for admittance; please discuss any needs for medical exemptions with our team in advance. Attendees will be encouraged to wear masks for indoor sessions if they are comfortable doing so, and required to in cities where there is a mask mandate, such as Boston and Chicago.
If you are unable to attend the event for health reasons, or your plans change, we are happy to transfer your ticket to a colleague or shift it to our San Francisco Impact conference in fall 2022. If the event is cancelled due to public health reasons, we will offer you the option of participating in our online event and transferring your registration to our next in-person event, likely San Francisco in fall 2022. If you need to transfer your registration to a colleague, please let us know at least 24 hours before the event begins by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org so we have the new participant's contact info.
We are dedicated to creating a professional, safe, welcoming, and harassment-free environment for all our attendees. Please see our complete code of conduct here.
No. We're intentionally light on slides at our in-person events in favor of interactive exercises, easel pads, Post-It Notes, Play-doh, and whiteboards. Some speakers do use slides or visuals at our virtual events to make their practices and ideas more concrete.

If you’re working to make change happen inside a large organization, Innovation Leader was created especially for you.
We create downloadable templates and tools; report on what the world’s best companies are doing; and convene your peers to share best practices, in conference calls, webcasts, and at live events. Everything we do is geared to helping you deliver impact in your organization, whether you work in strategy, R&D, new ventures, design, technology, or innovation.
