The latest roundtable in our on-going Underground series dove into the challenges of sourcing ideas internally and externally, and moving those ideas through prototyping, pilots, and eventual release into the world. The discussion was led by Virginia Williams, Vice President of Spigit, a provider of innovation software, and Kelsey Alpaio, Assistant Editor of InnoLead.

Joining the off-the-record discussion were leaders of innovation, R&D, and strategy from Coca-Cola, AT&T, Chick-fil-A, Porsche, Georgia-Pacific, and more. A few of the top issues discussed included how to refocus on idea quality rather than quantity, working with third parties to escalate idea integration,  intellectual property concerns when sourcing external ideas,  and how to foster a broader culture of innovation.

Thanks to everyone who participated, and to our friends at Southern Company’s Energy Innovation Center for hosting and participating in the discussion. For information about future InnoLead gatherings, see our events calendar.
