To coincide with the release of our Benchmarking Innovation Impact 2018 report, sponsored by KPMG, we brought together 16 innovation professionals to discuss some of the report’s findings. LinkedIn hosted us at the company’s San Francisco campus.
The roundtable opened with a discussion of some of the data highlights from the report — including survey results about common obstacles and enablers, as well as which groups in large companies are involved with actually executing incremental, adjacent, and transformational innovation. Participants also broke up into three smaller groups to discuss skills the workforce of the future will need; the culture clashes that sometimes erupt around innovation and the need for culture change; and business model disruption.
