Impact Executive Forums

Our regional forums in 2021 gave you access to incredible speakers, important debates, and advice from your peers. All of them invited involvement — whether asking questions, recommending resources, or participating in breakout discussions.

Our forums took place in Boston on September 29th, from 9 AM to 1 PM; Chicago on October 14th from 9 AM to 1 PM; and New York on November 4th from 9 AM to 2 PM. These in-person forums were open to current corporate leaders at the director level and above.

September 29th: Boston

Our theme was "Automation, AI, Robotics... and the Human Touch." How will these emerging technologies impact what you do — whether you provide services, deliver experiences, or produce physical products? Our opening catalyst speaker was Laura Major, CTO of the driverless car business Motional, owned by Hyundai and Aptiv. Laura is also co-author of the recent book "What to Expect When You're Expecting Robots." We concluded with lunch, networking, and tours of the MassRobotics facility.

October 14th: Chicago

Our theme was "Changing Customer Preferences and Behaviors in 2021," across all industries. How can innovation, strategy, and R&D executives help their organzations respond nimbly to these changes, and experiment in new ways? We had separate breakout discussions for B2C and B2B companies. We were hosted by Relish Works, an innovation center focused on the future of food, and operated by Gordon Food Service. Mandy Tahvonen, Managing Director of Innovation at Relish Works, offered participants an overview of the space, its mission, and outcomes so far. We were also joined by Moisés Noreña, former VP of innovation at Moen, and William Singleton, Executive Director of Global Packaging Innovation at Mars.

November 4th: New York

Our theme was "Leading with Design, Creativity, and Sustainability," across all industries. How do you build your own skills and those of your team? What does creativity mean in the context of remote collaboration? How should innovation teams be responsible for driving sustainability?

Our conversation leaders included Dana Naberezny, VP - Jewelry Design & Innovation Workshop, Tiffany & Co.; Jennifer Gootman, VP of Sustainability, Williams-Sonoma; and Colleen Hau, Director of Global Product Innovation at Carhartt. This event ran from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, including time for lunch and networking from 12 to 1 PM.
