Dominic Venturo: Making innovation pay at U.S. Bank

Dominic Venturo, the chief innovation officer for U.S. Bank’s payment services business, covered a lot of ground in a recent presentation. His 13-member innovation team had its start seven years ago, and at this month’s Chief Innovation Officer Summit, he shared some of what he has learned so far. Venturo joined U.S. Bank, now the sixth-biggest bank in the country, in 1998. The payment services business, which covers things like credit cards, debit cards, electronic checks, and mobile payments, operates in 24 countries, has about 6,000 employees, and generates $4.75 billion in revenue.
